Here I look at natural mould prevention through house plants. Following the rapid increase of energy bills last year, we looked to reduce our thermostat temperature by 1 Celsius. As well as a decrease in temperature and reduction in energy used, it also saw an increase in moisture in the house and an increase in mould. As well as the usual preventative measures of trying to increase fresh air flow, using a dehumidifier to reduce moisture etc, we want to try and use natural methods where possible.
